ElmoFromOK not a muppet

So I got a new job. I was hired to do web design and development for OPUBCO, here in Oklahoma city. I will doing my new job orientation today. It's not my first official day of the new gig, but it will be my first taste of the Oklahoma Publishing Company world. I imagine that I will learn about benefits and company policies. Which will likely include some form of blog guidelines. I am not sure how this will effect my blog or podcast, but I will let you know if it is drastic enough that I have to change what I say. I do not expect that, but with a large company it would not be a total surprise.

My wife gets up early for her new job and as she got up this morning, I found myself wide awake and ready to get up. It is really nice to be awake this early in the morning. I mean to actually BE awake, not just to be up, but to actually have a fully functional brain. I really like it.

I expect it is the excitement of the new job that is driving me right now. I would love to be able to do this every morning. To be able to wake up and then after she leaves, site and have some coffee and write as I listen to music and watch the sun come up. As long as I can feel alive while it is happening, I love that.

It is rare that I feel good when I get up early. In fact, I normally feel very heavy and cloudy. Not my favorite state of consciousness. I think I will enjoy it while I can.
