I do not realize how dependent I am on a cell phone until I do not have one. Then I realize how hard it is to stay in touch with clients, talk to friends, arrange meetings, etc.. I feel so disconnected with the world.
The cheap little old cell phone that I got to replace the cell phone that was stolen a few months ago is no longer charging. I have three months left on my sprint plan and do not want to renew, so buying a phone from them is not an option. The cheapest phone from them is like 300 dollars without a plan. Lame.
I do not like any of the new Sprint phones enough to go ahead and up again. If I am going to spend that kind of money I am getting a cell phone. But then I am paying Sprint AND At&t for three months. That irritates me.
If I had more solid income at the moment, I would go ahead and get one and deal with it, but I am in a place where income is not guaranteed. I have freelance work, but do not know when that will be paid, and I have a lead on a good full time gig I am interested in, but who knows if I will get that or not. Not a good time to jump into a larger monthly payment, on top of a 300 price tag. Sigh.
So my query: Does anyone know a good place to get a super cheap sprint phone in OKC? Or does anyone have an old one they will loan me until Feb? Trade a case of good beer for three months of phone time :)
